Naga Durga Gutha is an Indian actress and classical dancer known for her exceptional talent in Kuchipudi and her viral folk dance performances. She was born in Nalgonda, Telangana, India, into a Brahmin family to Chalapathi Rao and Vasavi.
From an early age, Naga Durga was introduced to dance by her mother, Vasavi, who had a deep passion for the art. Encouraged by her mother, she began her formal training in Kuchipudi and started performing at school functions and local cultural events.
At just 14 years old, Naga Durga began performing at professional events. Over the years, she has completed more than 1,600 dance performances across India and received numerous awards and recognitions for her outstanding contributions to classical and folk dance.
To share her love for dance, she founded “Nruthyalayam”, a Kuchipudi dance academy, where she trains young aspiring dancers and promotes Indian classical traditions.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Naga Durga turned to YouTube, where her folk dance videos quickly went viral. Her debut folk song performance, “Thinna Thiram Paduthale” (2020), garnered over 150 million views, making her a household name in the Telugu entertainment scene.
Following this massive success, she went on to perform in several other popular folk songs such as “Nalla Nagulamma,” “Daripontothundu,” and “Yerra Yerrani Rumalu Gatti.”
Naga Durga Gutha career:
In 2025, Naga Durga is set to make her Tollywood debut with the film “Kalivi Vanam.” She is also working on an upcoming Kollywood project opposite Pavish (nephew of actor Dhanush), marking her exciting entry into Tamil cinema as well.
